Communicating Hard Truths with Greenwood Rising

Join Dr. Raymond Doswell, Executive Director of Greenwood Rising for a conversation about communicating complex and difficult topics to diverse audiences.

Drawing from Greenwood Rising’s work educating the public about the full Black Wall Street story, including its economic power, cultural legacy, and the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, Dr. Doswell will discuss how the organization approaches messaging across varied audiences, including schools, corporations, public agencies, and community partners. The presentation will explore how to connect people to local stories and communicate hard truths without avoidance. Attendees will gain insight into how Greenwood Rising navigates audience needs while remaining grounded in history.
