Landing media coverage can feel like a guessing game. What makes a story truly newsworthy? What makes a pitch stand out in a crowded inbox? And what helps build stronger relationships with journalists over time?

PRSA OKC’s Inside the Newsroom: What Media Want From PR Pros brings together a panel of local media professionals to share their perspectives on how PR practitioners can better connect with reporters, producers and editors.

During this moderated conversation, panelists will discuss what catches their attention, the kinds of stories they’re looking for, and the common mistakes that cause pitches to be overlooked. Attendees will gain practical insights into crafting stronger story ideas, pitching more effectively and building productive media relationships.

Join us on Thursday, March 26, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at The Lume, located in downtown Oklahoma City. The event will include coffee and pastries.

This interactive panel will include time for audience questions, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the media about what works and what doesn’t.
